01 Application overview

One platform across the woodworking cell.

Radonix connects job preparation, smooth motion, spindle and tool management, rotary kinematics and shop-floor I/O. The same control philosophy scales from a three-axis cabinet router to a lathe, multi-head rotary machine or automated panel saw.

01

Faster job preparation

Import DXF or G-code, arrange parts, preview the path and begin from a selected shape or program line.

02

Smooth surface motion

Look-ahead, S-curve acceleration and corner blending help reduce vibration and improve routed and carved finishes.

03

Production automation

Coordinate tool magazines, vacuum, dust extraction, probes, pressure beams, pushers and safety interlocks.

02 Control profiles

Built for the process,
not just the axes.

Five process-specific profiles cover routing, ATC routing, rotary carving, wood turning and beam or panel saw workflows.

03 Controller compatibility

Which Radonix Controller Fits a Wood CNC Machine?

Controller selection starts with the machine architecture, then confirms the drive command interface, axes, I/O, spindle, automatic tool changer and auxiliary systems.

3-axis wood CNC router

Candidate platforms include PC Smart 3AS or PC Smart 4A, depending on the actual drive interface, machine I/O and auxiliary requirements.

ATC wood CNC router

The platform must be selected around the axis architecture plus magazine, spindle, tool-sensor and recovery I/O requirements.

4-axis rotary wood CNC

A verified four-axis platform is a starting point; interpolation, rotary mechanics, spindle and auxiliary requirements still determine compatibility.

5/6-axis machine

Higher-axis machines require a verified six-axis platform and a full review of kinematics, drives, I/O, spindle and safety architecture.

Engineering note: axis count alone does not confirm compatibility. Radonix must verify the drive command interface — including pulse/direction where used — as well as available I/O, spindle control, ATC, auxiliaries and the machine safety system.

Process / workflow

03 Operator workflow

From drawing to finished component

The workflow keeps geometry, tools, workholding and machine services visible before material is cut.

01

Import and arrange

Load DXF or G-code, define the work offset and nest or sequence the components.

02

Configure tools

Select the spindle tool, offsets, depth strategy, rotary diameter or saw recipe.

03

Reference and simulate

Home the machine, verify probes and limits, then preview the complete path and cycle.

04

Produce and recover

Run with live position, spindle, ATC and auxiliary states plus controlled pause and restart.

04 System architecture

Software to motion.
Motion to process.

A complete control stack connects the operator interface to coordinated axes, machine services and the safety layer.

05 Engineering principles

Specify around the machine.

Final performance is established during engineering and commissioning. Radonix configures the controller around the real mechanics, drives, tooling, process equipment and safety system.

Five machine profiles

Router, ATC router, rotary carving, wood turning and beam-saw control.

Flexible mechanics

Support gantry slaves, rotary axes, tool setters, magazines, pushers and panel handling.

Direct file workflow

Execute prepared G-code and supported DXF jobs with simulation and recovery controls.

Retrofit or OEM

Configure a new machine or an engineered upgrade around the real drives, I/O and safety system.

06 Technical FAQ

Questions before specification.

Need a machine-specific answer?Talk to a Radonix engineer →
01Which woodworking machines can Radonix control?

Radonix profiles cover three-axis routers, routers with automatic tool changers, XYZA rotary machines, XZ or XZA wood lathes and beam or panel saws.

02Can the controller run DXF and G-code?

Yes. Supported wood interfaces can load standard G-code and run common DXF-based workflows with preview, nesting or arrangement tools depending on the profile.

03Can Radonix manage an automatic tool changer?

Yes. ATC configurations can coordinate a linear rack or carousel, drawbar outputs, tool presence, a fixed length setter, safe positions and recovery steps.

04Can an existing woodworking machine be retrofitted?

Yes, after its axes, drives, spindle or saw system, sensors, I/O and physical safety circuits are assessed. Final performance remains machine-dependent.
