01 Application overview

Control built for flexible-material production.

Radonix coordinates table motion, tangential tool orientation, vacuum or clamps, conveyor indexing and machine I/O. Dedicated XY, XYR and XYRS profiles extend the same application-led approach to programmable sewing machines.

01

Process-appropriate cutting

Knife cutting is suited to compatible flexible materials that require a mechanical cut without a heat-affected edge.

02

Material handling

Coordinate vacuum zones, clamps or conveyor indexing according to the machine and production method.

03

Configured tooling

Configure compatible knife and auxiliary-tool functions around the fitted mechanics, actuators and I/O.

02 Control profiles

Built for the process,
not just the axes.

Choose an application profile for tangential knife cutting, roll-fed production or programmable sewing, then configure it around the real machine.

03 Operator workflow

A controlled route from geometry to production

Keep geometry, machine states and operator decisions visible from job preparation through cutting or sewing.

01

Prepare the job

Load the approved geometry, confirm scale and orientation, and arrange the job for the available material or fixture.

02

Set the process

Select the configured cutting or sewing process and verify offsets, speeds and machine-specific settings.

03

Set the material

Secure and align the material using the vacuum, clamps, fixture or registration equipment fitted to the machine.

04

Verify and run

Preview or dry-run where appropriate, then execute with motion, process I/O and safety states visible to the operator.

04 System architecture

Software to motion.
Motion to process.

A complete control stack connects the operator interface to coordinated axes, machine services and the safety layer.

05 Engineering principles

Specify around the machine.

Final performance is established during engineering and commissioning. Radonix configures the controller around the real mechanics, drives, tooling, process equipment and safety system.

Machine-specific

Controller and interface selection follow the real axes, drives, tooling, I/O and production requirements.

Process visibility

Operators can review the job, machine state and configured process controls from one interface.

Production recovery

Pause, resume and restart functions are configured to support safe recovery on the finished machine.

Expandable I/O

Vacuum, clamps, conveyors, sensors and optional registration can be integrated when the machine is equipped for them.

06 Technical FAQ

Questions before specification.

Need a machine-specific answer?Talk to a Radonix engineer →
01Which materials can a Radonix knife cutter process?

Typical applications include fabric, leather, vinyl, foam, gasket, cardboard and technical textiles. The correct knife and cutting parameters depend on thickness and material construction.

02What is the benefit of cold knife cutting?

Knife cutting does not create a heat-affected zone, helping avoid burnt or melted edges on compatible flexible materials.

03Can Radonix control a conveyor cutting table?

Yes. Conveyor indexing, vacuum zones and production sequencing can be integrated for continuous roll-material workflows.

04Does Radonix support automated sewing?

Yes. XY, XYR and XYRS control profiles can be configured for programmable sewing machines, subject to the machine mechanics and auxiliary equipment.
