Machine architecture
Machine & Kinematics
Machine & Kinematics
- Three-axis XYZ contouring with homing, soft limits and work offsets (G54–G59).
- Stored tool-length offsets preserve programmed Z depth after each verified M6 tool change.
- Controls the configured router spindle with automatic tool-change sequencing, stored offsets and safety interlocks.
- Integrated Automatic Tool Changer: M6 coordinates spindle stop or orientation, tool return and collection, stored offsets and safe program continuation for linear, rotary/carousel or jack magazines.
Control & I/O
-
Spindle ON/OFF and commanded RPM (VFD), vacuum zones, dust/mist/air, clamps/fixtures, beacons, guards & Emergency.
-
Tool length setter on Z for automatic referencing after each change; optional tool-break input.
- Configured ATC feedback can verify tool presence, collet state, spindle stop or orientation, magazine position and pneumatic cylinders before the sequence continues.
-
Operator aids: Feed/Speed overrides, Pause/Resume, single-step, safe restart from last block.

Software workflow
Software & Workflow

- 01Home
all axes; set work offset (G54); run tool-setter cycle on the current tool.
- 02Open
DXF/G-code; map layers to tools/strategies; confirm step-downs, comps, and Floor limit.
- 03Step 3
Run. The interface performs the automatic tool-change cycle, probes tool length and executes the three-axis job with safe retracts.
- 04Feed/Speed overrides
Use Feed/Speed overrides and Pause/Resume as needed; restart safely from the last block.
- 05save the run report
Review and save the run report.

Interface capabilities
Key Features of Radonix CNC Software
Software & Workflow
- Import DXF/G-code, preview router toolpaths and apply configured tool-radius and tool-length offsets.
- Configure routing entries, ramp and helix moves, tool-change positions and safe retracts.
- Corner smoothing and arc handling to maintain cut speed and edge quality.
- Priority ordering (inner → outer) and automatic pause points for clamp moves or checks.
- Job Queue & Repeat for batches; simulation / dry-run before cutting.
- Run reports: cycle time, path length, tool changes, pauses and restarts; operator notes are saved with the job.
Key Capabilities (at a glance)
-
Up to 6 simultaneous axes (XYZ + A/B/C) across wood/stone/milling/mold/dental
- Stored tool-length offsets maintain Z accuracy after automatic tool changes
- Configured spindle control with sensor-verified automatic tool changes and stored tool offsets
-
ATC for linear, rotary/carousel, and jack magazines with full interlocks
-
Automatic Z tool-offset sensing (tool setter) & wear compensation
-
3D toolpath & rotary visualization for verification before cutting
-
Floor depth restriction, safe Pause/Resume, restart from line
- Surface Scan capability for automatic Z-axis compensation according to the irregularities of the workpiece surface.
- Ability to modify the executable file (Rotate, Scale, Flip, Fit Dimension).
- Real-time reference displacement (Displace Reference) during job execution.
- Independent homing function for Gantry motors, enabling automatic orthogonality (X,Y) or alignment (Z) calibration.
- Dual-purpose sensor support for using a single sensor as both Home and Limit switch simultaneously.Power-loss recovery (Restart from line): Safely resumes from the last executed G-code line with automatic re-arm of spindle, vacuum, and safe Z re-entry.
Three-axis XYZ routing with ATC:
Coordinate X, Y and Z for three-axis routing with homing, soft limits, work offsets and automatic tool-change positions.
Stored tool-length offsets:
Maintains programmed Z depth after each sensor-verified M6 automatic tool change.
Configured spindle and ATC control
Controls the configured spindle, speed command, tool number, M6 cycle and safety interlocks.
Automatic tool changing:
On M6, Radonix stops and, when required, orients the spindle; returns the active tool; collects the selected tool from a linear, rotary/carousel or jack magazine; verifies configured feedback; applies stored offsets; and resumes through a safe path. The tool table supports 1–64, while physical capacity depends on the machine mechanics and I/O. Independent emergency stopping and access protection remain part of the machine safety system.
Automatic Z tool offset & referencing:
An optional tool-height sensor can measure the active tool after a change, calculate its Z offset and check the result against a configured tolerance. This helps identify an incorrectly seated, damaged or contaminated tool before machining continues.
3D XYZ toolpath preview:
Preview the three-axis XYZ routing path, tool changes, reach and cutting depth before production.
Floor (depth) limit:
Enforces a maximum Z penetration so the tool never cuts past the programmed floor—protects the table, fixtures, and laminated stacks.
